Course Update
The Cambridgeshire Golf Club - Greens Update

Dear golfers,
What a difference a week makes!
With the greens machinery back operational and the irrigation back to almost 100%, the greens have been able to be cut and ironed this week.
Without boring you with Stimp readings, I can assure you they are rolling nicely — fast and true! I witnessed the greens staff working their way around the course this morning at 7am, and each green was receiving the same diligent treatment. With the prolonged dry period we have had, the challenge is always trying to keep them fast and receptive at the same time. Players who were three-putting were still complimenting the surfaces today, which is fantastic.
We have taken on board the issues with the line of play on certain tee shots. Hopefully, the improvements to the hedge and tree line of play on both the 16th and 17th teeing areas have helped some of the scoring. Please rest assured that the greens staff are always doing what they can to make improvements to the course. The tee boxes are being watered and cut, alongside work on the approaches. With improvements to other areas of the course both underway and still to come, we are following Steve and his team’s seasonal plan.
I hope you are enjoying the course at the moment, and I look forward to seeing you out there soon.
